NEVER fill in a form that asks you for all your credit card information. If there really is a problem with your Tiscali - or any other online account - log directly into it. NEVER click on a link in an email that claims there is a problem with your account. ALWAYS enter the address of TalkTalk (your bank, Paypal or whatever) directly into your browser.

This scammer is hoping you will give him all your credit card info (see screenshot below).

If you think you have accidentally given your credit card info to a scammer, contact your bank immediately.

It's been a long time since I posted a fake PayPal email here, so here is one.

How do I know it's fake? Lots of giveaways, but the main one is that it doesn't include my registered PayPal username. Read it closely and you'll find lots of mistakes.

NEVER click on a link in an email that claims to come from Paypal. ALWAYS enter the address of the paypal website directly into your browser. If there is a problem with your account you will see it after you log in.

If you think you have accidentally given your Paypal account details to a scammer, change your password and contact Paypal immediately

As the email address this was sent to has absolutely nothing to do with *(Box Dumpers)* I'm guessing this is a scam.  One where the scammer is supposed to fill in the blank space between the brackets!

I'd also guess that if you reply and send a quote, Mr "Soon" will reply and either:

a) use a fake credit card number or (more likely)

b) ask to pay you more than you quoted and pass the excess on to a third party.

In fact, I think I might try answering him to see what he says.

These emails are all from scammers who are after you bank details and/or credit card details so they can help themselves to your money.

As you can probably tell from the title, I've had a spate of scam UPS emails. All claim a parcel I sent on 28 April can't be delivered.

DO NOT OPEN the attachment - it contains a trojan that will infect your computer.

If you really have sent a parcel and think there might be a problem, contact your local UPS office directly. Don't reply to any of these emails.

If I was due to get an inheritance or winning payment, why on earth would it be sent to the UN and why on earth would they be even remotely interested? They wouldn't be interested.

This is just a scammer - whose only interest is in taking your money. If you make the mistake of replying, you will quickly find that this scammer starts asking you to send money.

A little used email address of mine seems to have been taken over by the scammers. I'm tempted to get rid of the email address, but I'd lose a rich source of content for this blog and my other antiscam blog. So here is one of today's crop. From a scammer who wants to tell me the usual story of a dead, rich husband, no children, and surprise, surprise, loads of money - all of which I can have because she's dying.

Sister Marta tells me not to phone her. Why? Because I don't suppose she is a woman. This is a male African scammer. Ignore him, or you will find yourself being asked for money.

Today we have a two fake messages from the "Egg" online bank (yes - for those of you from overseas there really is an online bank in the UK called Egg!!)

The second scammer, at the bottom of the page, has used one of those "fill in the blanks" scam templates, and forgotten to change it all - so although the email claimed to come from Egg, the contents tell me about my Halifax bank account. Note to scammer - must try harder.

NEVER click on a link in a bank email - even if it appears to come from your own bank. ALWAYS enter the address of your bank directly into your web browser.

These scammers are after your bank account and credit card details. If you think you have accidentally given your bank details to a scammer, contact your bank immediately.

Would you trust a scam that tells you it comes from Nigeria? I don't think you would. Especially one, like this, that tells you how much money to send the scammer.

"MR. IBRAHIM MOMOH" isn't a doctor of anything and he certainly doesn't work for ECOWAS. Chevron don't give out random "grant donation prize" payments. This scammer can't even decide if his scam is for a donation, a grant or a prize. Which I'm sure you know are three different things.

Just ignore this scammer. If you reply you will find yourself being asked for money.

This scammer tells me the usual story:
1) they think "this letter may come to you as a surprise". Wrong - I get scam letters every day. They don't surprise me
2) they tell me the old, old tale of parents who died in horrible circumstances leaving millions of dollars

You get the idea, I'm sure. "Miss Mgboli" is none of the things she claims. She's a scammer - who is hoping you will fall for her story and start sending her money when she demands fees.

Yet another scammer who seems to think that telling me his scam comes from Nigeria might make me believe him. This is despite the fact that we all know that Nigeria has a reputation as being the "home" of scammers. (If honest Nigerians are reading this - please don't be offended. I am fully aware that there are many truly honest Nigerians whose lives are made difficult because of the activities of scammers.)

The person who sent this isn't honest. For all I know he might not even be Nigerian. This is a scam. You aren't owed money by the Central Bank of Nigeria (and if you are, why are you reading this - you should be communicating directly with the bank, not replying to random emails).

1) It says: "Your registered name is included to show this message originated from eBay". My Ebay name isn't included and that email address isn't the one I use on Ebay.

2) Point your mouse at one of the links (don't click) and look at the web address displayed at the bottom of your screen: http://cgi3.ebay.com.au.ws.item.260469257268.crystalpig.com/private/index.htm

Look closely at that address - it isn't the real Ebay website - a hacker has added their scam site onto the crystalpig.com site (crystalpig.com is a legitimate site).

3) I didn't list the item mentioned for sale on Ebay.

When you've puzzled out the answer, you will realise this is a scam. As far as I'm aware, you can get a perfectly good "education" in New York.

Rant for the day - all these phones are answered. I'm sure if the mobile phone companies and Police internationally got together they could stop some of these scammers.
